He has completed MBBS from B.J.Medical College, Ahmedabad. He did his post graduate Diploma in Ophthalmology from M & J Western Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Ahmedabad. He did his secondary post graduate DNB Ophthalmology from Narayana Nethralaya, Bangalore. He has received his fellowship in Cataract and Cornea Surgeries from Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh. Thereafter he continued working there as a Cornea and Cataract consultant. He has practised as a high volume cataract & cornea surgeon as well as a surgical trainer at RIO, Sitapur. He has trained many post graduates and fellows for cataract surgery. He has presented papers, posters and surgical videos at various State, National and International conferences. He has publications in peer reviewed journals. He has expertise in micro-incision cataract surgery, complicated cataract surgery after eye trauma, corneal transplant surgeries including Lamellar corneal transplants. His key areas of interests include complex cataract surgeries, Iris repair surgeries, and Lamellar corneal transplant surgeries.

He is currently working as a Consultant for Cornea and Cataract services at SRJ Nethralaya.
